Toronto Burlesque Festival 2013 – The Dark Kiss Goodnight

The Long Kiss Goodnight was the last show for me at the 2013 Toronto Burlesque Festival, and it was dark, gritty and ever so slightly macabre. References to Kill Bill, Little Shop of Horrors and Hannibal set the tone for this show, and a terrifying routine to the Beatles “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”. I had that song in my head for weeks – mind you that could also be put down to the fact my teacher in Standard 3 was a Beatles fan and made us sing pretty much ever Beatles song and “Maxwell” was one of them…
