Outdoor Portrait Session – Caitlin

I met Caitlin not long after I moved to Vancouver at a business networking meetup.

Caitlin is really into back country hiking and has a very impressive and beautiful instagram account (which you should check out here).

Because we both live not too far from Jericho Beach Park, and because it does have quite a variety of scenery, we took a trip down in the early evening as the sun was starting to drop. There were fields of wild sweet pea flowers blooming, so that was definitely something that I wanted to take advantage of. I also really loved being able to capture the sun peeking through the trees and giving Caitlin awesome hair lights.

We had a lot of fun on this shoot – there was spinning and dancing in the flowers, a couple of snapchat breaks, I knelt in something gross and indeterminable (henceforth known as the shitty knee incident), and we had a vegetarian dinner after at a local restaurant.

Definitely a great way to spend a summer evening!

Here are a few images from the shoot – hope you enjoy…
