I am so excited to share Alex and Caroline's couples portrait session with you all.
My heart is, and always will be, yours
Sense and Sensibility, Jane Austen
They were recently engaged when they came to the studio, and these shots were a perfect way to celebrate.
Once you see the video, you will see how sweet they are and so in love, there is such beautiful connection between the two of them.
Everytime I watch it, I end up with a ginormous smile on my face 🙂
I have asked them to share a little bit about themselves and how they met…
Caroline is a cat-loving, home steading, salsa dancing, adventurous femme.
She is passionate about health and food and is a Registered Massage Therapist, as well as a personal chef.

Alex is a hardworking, creative, researcher, activist, family person.
He is passionate about social justice issues and LGBTQ youth homelessness.

We originally met online in March 2011 on the dating website “OkCupid”.
The site connected us by suggesting that we might be a good match based on our interests, values, and what we were each looking for.
We exchanged several messages, but never actually met in person. Alex had decided to deactivate his profile.

But then on August 13, 2011 at an event called the “Queer Slowdance”, we met in person (not knowing that we had already met online!).
Alex walked in and Caroline was the first person he noticed, however, he didn’t think he had a chance with her.
So, he sat with his friends across the room, until Caroline walked over and asked him to dance. During their first dance they discovered that they had exchanged several messages online approximately 6 months earlier.
They spent the night dancing, laughing, and not noticing the world around them.
The next day, Alex wrote in his journal – “I think I met my future last night”.

On August 13, 2013, Alex recreated their first date, but this time he got down one knee and proposed to Caroline. They will be getting married in September 2014!

I am a huge believer in fate (given the way myown relationship developed), and this is one of those “meant to be” stories
