Wild sweet pea flowers become a beautiful backdrop for sunset portrait photos at Jericho Beach Park.
I met Caitlin not long after I moved to Vancouver at a business networking meetup.
Caitlin is really into back country hiking and has a very impressive and beautiful instagram account (which you should check out here).

There were fields of wild sweet pea flowers blooming, so that was definitely something that I wanted to take advantage of.
I also really loved being able to capture the sun peeking through the trees and giving Caitlin awesome hair lights.
Because we both live not too far from Jericho Beach Park, and because it does have quite a variety of scenery, we took a trip down in the early evening as the sun was starting to drop.

We had a lot of fun on this shoot – there was spinning and dancing in the flowers, a couple of snapchat breaks, I knelt in something gross and indeterminable (henceforth known as the shitty knee incident), and we had a vegetarian dinner after at a local restaurant.
Definitely a great way to spend a summer evening!
